The Effects of Modified Adeli Suit Therapy on Improvement of Sitting Balance, Gross Motor Function in Children with Cerebral Palsy

Abstract
|

|
Objective: This purpose of this case report was a to investigate the effects of the modified adeli suit therapy on improvement of sitting balance, gross motor function in children with cerebral palsy.
Methods: Three children with cerebral palsy classified at level III on the Gross Motor Function Classification System were treated for 10weeks, 1 hr/d, 3 d/wk. All children were tested by the Trunk Control Measurement Scale, the Korean Gross Motor Function Measure at baseline, after treatments.
Results: Very small improvements in dynamic sitting balance were noted. Improved static sitting balance, gross motor function were found.
Conclusion: Further investigation is needed of the modified adeli suit therapy program in children with cerebral palsy.
